Lac Carling Conference 2005

The emergence of MISA/ASIM Canada contributed to a significant municipal presence at the 9th Annual Lac Carling CIO Congress, May 15-17.

The Lac Carling conference was founded in 1997 by IT World Canada and the federal and provincial governments as an invitation-only forum to bring together senior practitioners in electronic service delivery (ESD) to discuss how to work together. It has become an annual milestone for progress in ESD, where reports are presented on pilot projects and strategic developments, and plans are made for the coming year.

At Lac Carling 2005, a record number of municipal delegates decided for the first time to work in concert to influence the pace of development of interjurisdictional ESD initiatives.
